Interesting and helpful way to view how one should spend time in college. Though I think there's something to be said for knowledge for the sake of knowledge.

Good article. The point about risk/obligations is *very* true. I thought nothing of spending my meager savings on a business venture or moving city for a job in my early 20s. Now I shudder to risk everything on a new venture, and in fact probably never will again.

College really is the perfect time to be an entrepreneur. That is, if you can handle the workload and studies. But delegate delegate delegate. Not doing this is the reason why my print magazine, started in college, could not survive my job, my biz, and my studies.

Starting out in college is tougher than most expect. However, if you are able to balance your venture, studies and social life (family and friends) well, you are close to becoming a great and all rounded entrepreneur.

In my opinion, schools don't really teach the things that are really useful for entrepreneurship. Talk about INNOVATION for example....
